LIVE: Official Superbowl Thread

Hello all - its almost time

Sunday 2nd February is the day, It will be outside in the cold at the Met Life stadium where snow as already fallen.

Will it be the newly emerging team that is the Seattle Seahawks or will it be the Re-invigorated Broncos led by a certain Peyton Manning?

I cannot wait - for me it'll be the Broncos for the superbowl, I just think Peytons desire to win it will undo the tough defence of the Seahawks.

In other news Richard Sherman ... Love him or hate him?

Or Perhaps you will be watching because you are huge fans of *ahem* Bruno Mars - as he will be the half time entertainment.

Please enjoy the thread whether you are a newbie or regular.

Manning set a superbowl record for pass completions last night apparently

Glad you enjoyed it.

Mannings stats if I am correct were better than Wilsons. Even if he didn't play well initially, however our Offensive line was at fault for that as well.

It was just everything else went wrong. There is a reason Wilson didn't win MVP.

Superbowl. Hmm. Where to begin.

1. Kudos to Seattle's defence for stifling and disrupting Manning's play the whole game, not many teams can hold one of the greatest QB of all time to just 8 points.

2. Greatest QB? This loss is going to really hurt Manning's legacy. Top 5 of all time? Not sure anymore. Lots of argument suggesting he's only a regular season QB.

3. MVP rightfully should've gone to a defensive player but maybe not Malcolm Smith. That being said, I would give it to that whole side of the ball.

4. Speaking of defence, where does the Seahawks defence rank all time? It's should be up there given how good the record breaking Broncos' offence was all year.

5. Commercials were terrible. Only the Doritos one with the space shuttle made me laugh. Budweiser's emotional advert is probably second, though I prefer adverts to be on the funny side than emotional. I probably left out some so any reminders will be appreciated.

6. Russell Wilson is the 2nd black QB to win the Superbowl. The first? Doug Williams. Both were against the Broncos. Coincidence?

Probably have more thoughts about it but I'll leave it at that for now.

Pure coincidence that the first year the Seahawks win big I get signed onto ja606 and discover the NFL community on here, Castle! Still feel like I need to learn more about the sport in general before I become a seasoned poster of comments/ articles- would like to check in for the Draft and pre-season though- and really pick up round play off time!

I said the seahawks were hte best in the league and I was proven right. I said my panthers needed to go 12-4 and they did. I am a genius!!
