Thought Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry and Azpi had excellent games. This is our best back four now, and Luiz sitting just in front had a great game as well. I believe we definitely have the best defensive unit in the league.
Brilliant game from Matic, deserved the MOTM, has settled in very quick.
Also Hazard, what an amazing season he has been having. Many were calling for him to be dropped, in games he was adapting and clearly working very very hard to adapt (tracking back, working the ball from deep, attacking, being always aware of opposition attacks...etc), and still he was doing decent, and always provided a major threat for the oppositions to worry about, I said back then his game will click sooner or later, he definitely has the physical attributes to go out and do what Mourinho expects from all his players. Well he has now, and I think he will get better and better as the season progresses, he was always a late season performer apparently. I just pray he does not get injured. Very heavily reliant on him atm.
Mourinho is an excellent tactician, the league may still be on, but without a top quality striker we are really relying on our AM to be at 100% from now till the end, to win it. However I have a sneaky feeling we will do something special in the CL this season. I don't mind playing crap in the FA Cup to progress further in the CL. Bayern, Barca and Real are all beatable this season, especially with the way we set up and the way we expect them to play. Galatasary are going to be tricky though. Loving this season, after the depressing season we had last. Feels like we are meaningful again! What's up with Napoli

The scoreline flattered City, bar the last 10 mins where we just decided to sit back and soak up the pressure we dominated the whole and could and should of had at least 4 to 5 if it wasn't for the damn post and our crap finishing

I wouldn't say it was your back four - more the pressing from your front 4 and 2 midfielders who continually won the ball up field. Therefore City never got anywhere near you. And in the last 10 minutes when they finally got there, Terry and Cahill just kept it all out.

I thought a key battle last night was Navas v Azpilicueta. City's tactics seemed to focus on getting the ball wide to Navas and getting balls into the box. Azpilicueta did very well I thought and made numerous tackles and blocks to deny the service to two forwards who provide an aerial threat.

Beating City there means we keep our home record.
Also the war of words was won before the game, Jose said they should watch out for our attack, looks like Pellegrini fell for it a bit.
City are a solid side, I hope they go through another rough patch. Like I said if we stay consistent against the little teams, we should win the title. I think City will drop big points away from home against Arsenal, Liverpool and United.
