Most disappointing player your club signed

by Arsenes menthol strength - Spearmint Rhino flavour (U6202)

For me it's Pennant. I remember us signing this 15 year old for 2m and was so sure he would be a beast for us. Let's not forget this is before the internet (days of refreshing tele text to get football news ). Obviously these days a quick youtube makes us all experts on every player in the world but the hype around Pennant as a kid was crazy.

So what signing disappointed you the most?

he bloody wasn't!

game that said it all to me was an FA cup tie against Cardiff in his last season, was a perfect opportunty for Joey to impress and he fluffed it

1-1 at half time, Joey playing like he'd never even seen a football in his life the much maligned Kalou came on for him and we went on to the game 4-1!

knew after that his Chelse career was done

Checked up, Alf Ramsey did cap him for England. Once was enough as he won no more !!
