Suarez over reaction

Just back from a foreign trip , and saw the game highlights last night.Agree with Brendan Rogers that the challenge on Suarez was a clear penalty,my only point was did Suarez over act after the challenge that may have influenced Webb to not award the penalty . I've always thought Webb was the opposite teams 12th man whenever he referees against Liverpool . Also think we would have gone all the way to the final if we'd got a result last night

Ruiney

It should have been given a penalty, simple as. This might come as news to you but quite a few players around the world would do the same thing. Still a penalty though.

It was a penalty indeed.

Embarrassing flip on the floor though.

I thought he showed great shoulder strength to flip like that.

Suarez exaggerated, that is clear but the referee isn't there to judge how good the player is at going down upon contact, he's there to judge if it was a foul. Standing right there and seeing it clearly, there's no way he couldn't have thought that it wasn't a foul, he just didn't want to give it.

First of all, these match officials don't live in a bubble. The talk to each other, they get advice from the F.A., they read the papers and they watch the commentaries and games on TV. FIFA has also been very vocal on the topic of "cheating".
When you add all of this up, they form opinions of certain players. Because of Suarez past ballerina spins and Olympic quality "dives", he has earned the suspicion and disrespect of some officials.
Maybe Rodgers needs to work on this aspect of Suarez game, or else some of these "obvious" calls will not be made and the team will suffer as a result??

Unless you've been living in a bubble, you'll have realised that both Rodgers and Suarez have indeed worked on that side of his game.

Regardless, it was a foul, it doesn't matter which player was fouled. You have to go by the rules, not your own bald head.

Furthermore this has nothing to do with Suarez, it's a Liverpool issue, Webb has been doing us for years. In fact I think we've failed to win, or even lost in the last seven games he's refereed us, with at least one of his decisions in each game being a factor in that.

Yet another smart-ass little comment from a angry 'pool supporter. I simply made a statement of FACT. You simply make an empty snide comment. Before you make a comment, make sure you have proof and provide it! Otherwise people will think that you are "paranoid" and place YOU in a bubble, so that you can't hurt yourself! Good-bye!

Huh? You're a strange one. You demand proof from others whilst peddling your less informed opinion as fact.
