Demichelis should not have started. I think he was the key reasons you have lost both your games against Chelsea.
Why did your manager start him is anyone guess.
The game was too big for your manager and Demichelis.
Your Manager messed up!

I just thought your team would be too good for Barcelona and able to exploit their weaknesses from set pieces.

He played it safe, I was shocked when I saw that.
Funny thing is they could really hurt barca if they'd been adventurous.

Lescott showed when he came on why he didn't start and Nastasic is injured. I actually thought he had settled well after a dodgy early spell until that challenge.

he had to protest the back four, MDM is way of the pace
it didn't really work no ,other teams seem too have done better v barca lately, when nasri and silva starting linking it looked like citys best threat

Sorry Boris I did not mean to wind anyone up.
I am not a Man City fan but I really rate your team and it was very frustrating to watch that defeat.
I think your manager has been great for your team but I thought he had got it wrong today and in the league games against Chelsea.
3 very big games.

Kompany was far more at fault for the 1st imo, even though he was excellent for the most part, esp. after the sending off. Demichelis is too easy a scapegoat imo. Just ask yourselves this: had it been the other way round, MDM was caught square and VK sent off as a result, who would people be moaning about?

Kompany was at fault with a schoolboy error for the goal- but he clearly made up for it with a Captain's performance.
Ofc, Demichellis was the villain du jour as he is not up to this standard and he clearly stunk out the place.

I agree about Demichellis and i think most City fans have been aware for some time of his short comings and our need to sign a top CB to play alongside VK. Last night we were unlucky to some degree, Navas was launching an attack down their right flank when he was fouled and dispossessed, the referee did not give the foul, the ball was played through to Messi who was played onside by VK sitting too deep. I would have been annoyed if Dimichellis had not made a tackle and let Messi get one on one with Hart which would have had only one outcome. Up to that point, despite their expected superior possession we were doing quite well and had created more chances and worked their keeper far more than Joe had been.
It was annoying that the ref never gave the foul on Navas if only for the fact that he gave a lot of soft free kicks against us that were debatable at least and booked Negredo for a first foul but when Danni Alvez eventually got booked, the refree made a big show of the fact that it was for multiple fouls. Inconsistency or favouring Barca as MP foolishly announced in his press conference?
