Bring in Butland on loan, play him, sign him in summer (if good enough) release Cairns and Ashdown, use Paddy as cover until we get another keeper..!

Eric ......... almost agree with you. However anytime I've seen Ashdown play I reckon he's done well/okay. I'd have him in the squad and let Paddy go - if we got someone young in like Butland.

I say it because of the contract situation. IMO the club don't think they are as good as Kenny, surely if they did they wouldn't have gone for Butland..? and I believe that is what they'll do under the circumstances.
