Would The Riots Have Stopped Our Games?

Tottenham called off their game due to 'native circumstances' shall we say.Has anybody ever wondered why,as a city Glasgow never went down the same route?
Every professor, shrink and politician are looking for the root causes.Deprivation, class issues etcetera.
A Guardian journalist decided to ask Strathclyde's finest.

''One cop I spoke to had a different, more prosaic take on why the riots didn't reach Scotland. "The rain was bloody torrential, biblical, for days," he said. "What wee ned's going to leave the comfort of his X-Box and his bottle of Buckfast for that?" Well, he's got a point.''

So you see it ain't all bad up here after all.Buckie-breeding confidence since 1654.On the monks.

I believe the reason the Spurs game was cancelled was due to the surrounding area being a crime scene and having 30,000 people trampling over the area wouldn't have helped the police with their investigation.

---oo---

Somebody in Manchester social services had the idea of handing out bars of soap. The combination of soap and water sent them all packing.

The actual reason the Spurs game was called off because there was not enough time to make a number of fire damaged properties safe ......Can you imagine a building collapsing onto a football crowd ....not too clever
