If this was a game of cards we would, no doubt, have a mirror behind us. It's clear what we've been dealt. Its clear what cards we can play. Why we've played them, and its clear whenever we bluff. Everyone knows we could not possibly have anything more or less than the hand clearly broadcasted. Our 3 aces in the middle of the pack were burnt last round and we're left with a king, a queen, a flush of hearts valuing from 2-9 and somehow, a joker.
Now. Its late game. We're not too far off winning the pot so we cant fold but the hands we've been dealt of late have given nothing but setbacks. Now these 3 aces could win us the game but the pots taking a beating waiting to draw them. We're left with a choice...
Stick or twist.
Billy has chosen to stick with his hand but last few draws hasn't given any takings. We're not catching winners pot but we could very much get evens.
Question is should we twist? What we have is not an absolutely terrible hand, and can beat other hands at the table. For now, rather building our hand round those 3 of a kind, why not look at the rest of our hand so see if we can keep the pot steady. Maybe use that flush and try and make a straight flush, so we can beat people who do more than fold. Or in footballing terms, the players we have are obviously not fitting the 4-2-3-1 system and we know they have some quality (even if its not as much as the missing quality). Maybe adopting a 4-4-2 or some other formation would benefit us greater in the short term.
But then again, we know the cards that we need are in that deck and its just a case of drawing them. Some aces we're certain are near the top of the deck. Those 3 aces would work fantastic if we're still after 3 of a kind, but if we've changed tables and we're now after 21 then 3 aces will have a lot of wasted value.
Thoughts?
--------------
TLDR; With players not doing well in 451, should we ride it out so key players can slot straight in, or adopt a new formation for the time being that better suits our current players? However, that comes with another reshuffle once those players hit fitness.

Forest_Monkey,
Until you get a new manager, why don't to take up cards and give up football? I think you'd do better.
