What are they playing at?
This fit and proper persons test is in place to protect clubs from dodgy owners who could potential leave the club in financial despair.
However Leeds are seemingly going into financial meltdown because the football league cant make its mind up. GFH says we wont go into administration but they obviously cant sustain our outgoings as cellino is paying the wages.
If after all this time they reject Cellinos buyout then they will be the ones responsible for us going into administration.

It's very simple.Cellino= Ran a football club at one of the highest levels of football....GFH=No experience whatsoever. It was an easy choice for the clueless FL.

Frgive the interuption to the thread, but i Just thought Jonty might like to see this:

Possibly a politically motivated article, but it seems to be the norm that people with money always seem to get greedy.

I have no respect for this man. He panders to the masses by touting his love for Obama and how taxes should be raised on the rich and then maximizes every tax loophole possible to eliminate his own taxes. This #$%$ about his secretary paying more than he does in taxes was the biggest joke of all. How about paying yourself a real salary Warren, for what you are worth, like any CEO, so that you actually pay taxes instead of using loopholes and paying yourself $1. The only reason he says the rich should pay more is to try and elevate his status in the liberal world of "feel goodism." This guy is a joke.

39, I'm not sure you could call a man who says he is going to give 99% of his money away greedy.

May not be greedy Jonty, but it doesn't mean to say he didn't amass his wealth by less scrupulous methods, or find creative ways to avoid taxation.

Giving it away means he will put it in charitable trusts which will be run by his family - a great way to avoid them paying tax in his billions.

Jonty,
I seems to me that you would just prefer to pick holes in peoples statements rather than give your opinion.
So heres my hole picking
"As for losing our best players, which best players exactly, we have hardly any."
Every team has best players even if they are not that good. They are better than the worse players.
We would just be left with the worse ones.
"It's a backward step yes, but not the end of the world as many other clubs, including Leeds have shown."
Farsley Celtic was disbanded a few years ago because of administration. Im sure their fans would disagree with you.
"And as for exception that proves the rule, if you ask the question you have to be prepared for the answer, even if it doesn't match what you were hoping for"
This makes no sense. I didn't feel I had to prepare for an answer. I certainly didn't lose sleep thinking about Warren Buffett and how the fact he is a good bloke (now unproven apparently) could change my outlook on life.

I think a meal is being made out of this Buffett link ...............
This thread has been sandwiched in amongst far more interesting topics. I'd rather roll on to a more satisfying subject, afterall i'm sure on here are telling pork pies ...
