Shades of Rafael against Liverpool

Is it any wonder at times we think the world is against us when situations that are no way similar some how come back to us?

Motd sort yourselves out.

Motd said a player got sent off for handball but rafael stayed on the pitch.

They were talking about Oxlade chamberlain this week
__________

Rafael stayed on the pitch, so did Oxlade-Chamberlain. Can't see the grounds for complaint...

I thought it was absolutely pathetic. One thought he was a goalkeeper, the other moved his hand slightly towards the ball. Glen Johnson did the same too, but no mention of that!

thats because johnson didnt do the same you facking imbecile

Rafa didn't get booked.

To be honest I think that, due to the fact that the ball was missing the goal, it could be argued that Ox/Gibbs should have been spared a yellow card.

No way the ref or his assistants can tell if it's going in or not. The Flying Ox certainly thought it was.

It was a good save

More than a little impressed that people actually knew what I was referring to in this article. I was just going drunkenly letting off steam!

This. Whilst the decision to produce a red was incorrect, Ox intended to deny a goal and his intent alone invited the ref to make the call. Gibbs deserved a yellow at most for his part in the incident though. Incredibly harsh to send him off

Yes I thought the comment about inconsistency was pathetic also. Next time you hear/see someone calling for a panel of ex-pros to make retrospective judgements regarding incidents during a weekend, remember this and think again!
