YOU ARE WHO YOU SUPPORT

Things could be worse.

1. You could be brainwashing yourself into thinking that you prefer watching David Luiz in midfield rather than Juan Mata.

2. You could be at the start of having to watch your club go ten years without a trophy and seeing five managers come and go. As well as watching £70 million go down the drain as Van Persie refuses to stay fit.

3. You could have to witness the cold blooded murder of Daniel Levy by Tim Sherwood using the method of strangulation with the guts of Vertonghen.

4. You could be going through the agony of seeing Luis Suarez do something so sinister in the World Cup that the hopes of a great season become a false dawn and midtable insignificance beckons again.

They all have their cross to bear....

But ask yourselves fellow Arsenal fans, would you really have enjoyed watching Vermaellen and Flamini in the centre of midfield?

Getting a point in a stalemate of boring proportions?

Then watching Wenger spit at Mourinho in defiance at the final whistle?

And sacrifice our identity?

Oh no, convincing myself that Luiz is more fun to watch than Mata. Having to make do with boring Luiz. However will I cope with only winning 6-0 against a rival and being top of the league?

Big Sam Allardyce for next Arsenal manager?

Because he will guarantee a trophy?

Oh dear.

Care to explain that last comment?

Sure Lexi

You and I would hate to win the league with Bus Park football.

You might like it for a split second but then you would see that it wasn't Ozil holding the trophy it was Phil Jones in an Arsenal shirt and you would be sad.

True I might not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed seeing Wenger's sides of yore winning titles, but as someone old enough to have seen, and enjoyed, George Graham sides similarly picking up silverware let me tell you, winning dull is underrated.

At least by those who prefer glorious defeat.

You and I both Lexi.

All the more reason to embrace what Wenger has achieved and where he is going.

From saying you "are" to a whole range of points that have the word "could"

Not exactly conclusive is it?

Oh right, so not wanting Wenger's 'identity' means we want Allardyce, right, gotcha.

No it's not.

Like it's not conclusive that Suarez won't be eaten by a cannibal in the World Cup and as a result Liverpool won't get out of the Group stages of the CL.
