Shame mavies had to go off but he is made of glass. He was running the show in his free role the one quality player on the pitch. Workmanlike from bolton did enough. Blackpool never ever were going to score tonight, look nothing without ince and phillips. Probably us in a years time when all the half decent players have left. My mom spearing. Protected the back 4, kept bolto moving, passing much better. Bogdan solid much improved, hutton quality but can't afford to keep him. Mason poor did little. Beckford lively looks fit but unfortunately cant hit a barn door. That miss was awful.

And I am to blame for only 98 posts. On here tonight .

Back.
Instant reactions. I saw Blackpool strikers warming up and thought none of those lads could finish their dinner. Good job really.

Clattenburg was ok at times but was his usual showy self with his outrageous hand gestures.

Strikers poor tonight. Beckford. Jeez that miss.

3 figure thread. Got till Friday to get another 100!!!!

Conclusions based on not having to type on a phone.

We did enough. Which was score then revert to panic defending, not enough pressure in the deep side of midfield and looking suspect down the flanks.

Mason's first touch suspect. In fact all but Mavies and Ream aren't comfortable on the ball at all. Knight for all his scary moments was relative OK.

Blackpool strikers in the warm up were constantly missing the target and I'm quite glad they brought that into the match. For all the chances we gave them I don't think Bogdan did much but wave a few errant shots wide or over.

Whisper this quietly but Clattenburg was decent till he got too far up his own backside later in the second half. No referee should be the star and every time he whistled he was doing some sort of over theatrical "look at me" hand signal.

Mavies ran things till his possible concussion injury. If it wasn't for that I recon Chungy may have come on for Danns as he looked like he was flagging late on.

For all Beckford's promise when he came on. i.e. stretching the match giving us options for the through ball in behind Blackpool that miss is his "Holdsworth moment."

When it wasn't scrappy we were on top. It wasn't fluid enough and against a better side I recon we wouldn't have played as edgy as we did after we'd scored.

Spearing Man of the match for me.
