Going to do this now

As I couldn't bring myself to do it, should you defy the odds and somehow win the league, I will get this out of the way now. Sigh.

At the start of the season, nobody, not a single person, thought you guys would win the league. This season has become the worst worst worst case scenario for me. United are nowhere and the title race could very well go to the last day and be a shootout between Liverpool and Man City! Even you guys couldn't have written this script

But I that's why I am posting. Just to say Liverpool habe been fantastic this season, the best team to watch by a mile, full of goals and with the great attitude of "let's just outscore them." Now you are in the position of knowing that if you win all your games, you'll be champions. I don't expect that to happen but, then again, Liverpool have defied the odds all season.

As a United fan, I am getting seriously worried about Liverpool becoming champions. It's got to the stage where I was willing City to get a winner yesterday against Arsenal, just because I didn't want Liverpool to have a sniff of winning the league!!! That's what you've reduced me to. Stop, please stop

Going to be a thrilling run in and if you do it, you'll be very worthy and deserving winners.

That hurt. A lot.

Well done OP.

Must say i have been quite surprised at how well the United fans are taking this, some of the Londoners on here however

Man Utd fans have been top notch on this board.

Isn't it strange. The United fans are decent on here, and we are reasonably decent about their shortcomings this season as we felt the same under Hodgson.

Spurs and Arsenal fans are by miles the most bitter, yet we have no rivalry with them whatsoever.

United fans have been very decent towards us this season, whether that is through respect of how surprisingly well we are doing, or appreciation that they are currently going through what we have had to go through recently, or maybe a bit of both.

But yes, fans of London-based clubs have just been spouting bile all season. In fact I could have sworn I saw some froth visible on the map over the south-east region on the weather forecast.

I for one am not surprised that the OP aswell as the majority of United fans are showing class during their blip and our progress. Stemming back to our Dalgish/Fergie days, this rivalry has always been about hate, but respect. Only in recent years have some fans from both sides decided to turn that respect a tad sour, but the fact is our respective successes go nowhere without the respect we both have for each other

Wow Steve you are doing well today

On topic yeah Liverpool winning the league would hurt but Id say fair play like they did when we beat Villa last season and won it and just get on with it.

Northerners > Southerners

I think part of it is due to the fact that we aren't involved in the title race. It means you can step back, be relatively objective (if that's possible when it's your arch rivals) and just say "yeah, they're doing okay. They deserve some credit."

Didn't help us.

We certainly did not! At least we're consistent when we play the top teams
