Forest re-open talks with Pearce

Breaking news on sky sports.....

That was meant to say extremely strong. He was quick but maybe not extremely quick!

I think with a good team behind him it could work. I mean to be completely honest, the best game I have seen England play in recent times is the time he managed. We lost 3-2 but he played the youth who wanted to be their and they gave everything the could!

It is certainly a risk, but it is certainly one I will take.

Can just hear it now.....Psycho, Psycho, Psycho (punches the air) and then the loudest Mull O'Kintyre ever. The fact that he is Forest through and through would help. As I've been thinking about the prospect it won't tarnish his legendary status . He was decent with contracts at City for starters. I will be at the last games of the season and hoping for it now

It's a very difficult situation, I would remain at the 'talks' stage while events unfold with Gary Brazil coaching the squad. Were we to be promoted the que for the job would lengthen considerably.

Pearce has a better win ratio than Zola, Mackay and Clarke

I think short team, psycho or whoever comes in, is in a no lose situation as a fair share of fans have already given up hopes of promotion this season. Promotion would almost be a bonus.

Next season is what really matters, especially after the new manager has had the summer to put his own mark on BD's squad.

I've no real feeling either way on psycho becoming our next gaffer as someone's playing career has little relevance on their management success. Some will say that his legacy will be ruined by becoming manager, failing, being sacked etc etc, but most managers end up getting sacked at some point, it boils down to how much good or bad they can do whilst in charge.

The Championship is a strange league in which success can be achieved by the most unlikely of managers, eg. McClaren, Dyche and Rosler, whilst at the same time established folk like Redknapp, Coyle and Jones struggle.

At club level? England U21s are not the best indicator of managerial expertise at clubs where who you sign is just as key as how you play.

His win ratio as club level is about 32%..

Remember Peter Taylor was England U21 manager before he destroyed Leicester

Not saying Pearce will do that to Forest, he will probably be fine, but it won't be like the U21s

Ironically, Mull of Kintyre wasn't a thing back in his Forest days, we came out to the Robin hood song.

We used to chant it a bit I think but not before the game with a backing track. I know what you mean though
