I have tickets booked for Saturday and anyone who viewed my post last night will know it's my first time in years. I am in West stand but have 6+ hour drive back. Planning to leave 5 mins early so i can miss some of the traffic and catch last orders down in Devon. Any ideas of where to park and how long it will take to walk there after the match and get onto M1?

I park there sometimes, never takes more than 10 mins extra to get out, leave at the end mate and get your money's worth, traffic out of Leeds is no where as bad at it used to be.

H'Gate/Dartmoor ............ I park on Gelderd Rd every match. If you want a space reasonably close to the ground then you need to turn up an hour before hand. If you're happy to walk a bit further, then park near the Porsche garage on the junction of Gelderd Rd/Ring road. That way you'll be away in 2 minutes and straight on to the motorways. No need to leave the game early either - it's a quick exit from the traffic.

But for access to the M1 (why go that way?) or to the M621 to go M62 and M6/M5, ER is right on the motorway!
If you park early in the car park by the Peacock in the right parking spot, you will be in prime position to get out immediately, irrespective of the amount of traffic at the final whistle - should take less than 10 minutes to get to the motorway even in the worst traffic.
If you left as the board for 90 minutes was put up, you would be out on the road and probably on the motorway before the final whistle sounded.

So you're planning to miss a chunk of the game, to shorten your 6 hour journey by 5 minutes?
