We should be striving for 1st place. Nothing else is good enough. It's not being arrogant it is a fact. Same as you lot for all the money you lot have splashed anything less than 1st isn't good enough and us deemed a failure.

I've no doubt Van Gaal will get the club going again but he will do it his way and i expect many player fallouts and disharmony in the camp, just as there was with us and Mancini at the end.

I think what he shouldn't do is make "guarantees", promise stuff, let his mouth write cheques his ass can't cash, etc.

Striving to achieve is one thing, making guarantees is another thing entirely. Time your club told the old boy to zip his lips.
