The silver lining from yesterday’s game is that United fans seem to think Ten Hag is the second coming of Fergie all of a sudden
That’ll last….

It's been a bit ridiculous. Watching the game it didn't feel like a classic to me and It didn't look like we even played out of our skin. Was a bit surprised by their reaction after the game.
Being a Liverpool fan it feels like I see games like that regularly. They must be starved of the good stuff as they're over the moon.

Can't wait for the reaction when some small team crash-lands them back to earth. They never learn.

I can think of only two times my Utd friends have been vocal, and that's when Klopp announced he was leaving, and after the game on Sunday.
Funnily enough, the game was similar to the Utd City one recently - Utd goal in first half, Utd then sit deep and concede possession. Only difference this time is they nicked a goal each time because we let it slip

Yeah was a bit weird in the media. BBC did an article asking if it was a turning point in Ten Hag's reign, and I'm not sure why it would be.
Good win for them obviously, but in reality we were poor in most departments and yet if that game played out the exact same way I'd wager we still win it 7/8 times out of 10.
Outside of that opening 30 or so minutes they didn't really do anything to put us off our game, it was just sloppy play in general.

Don't forget before the game all the Rashford hate. How crap Antony is (still is) and McTommy is useless.
These are the men who stepped up.

Disappointed that we have allowed Konate to join the France squad.
Arsenal have pulled out Gabriel who isn't even injured.

I'm shocked he's still out, all our injuries seem to take ages to recover at the moment

At the moment?
More like a few seasons now...we also tend to rush some back when the pressure is on too

I'm not sure we do see games like that all the time if I'm honest, not with the context of this one anyway.
Firstly, the FA Cup is their season - there's little else to hope for beyond top 4 qualification which is unlikely.
Secondly, we're much better than them. Much better. To see your main rivals are significantly better always adds an element of backs against the wall. We've not been in that position with Utd for a decade now. We used to be, no doubt about it, but not for a while.
Thirdly, they would have felt it wasn't their day for much of that match. We dominated large periods but two of our goals were pretty large deflections and then Rashford missed an absolute sitter at the end of normal time.
And last minute goals always add that extra but of euphoria. There's something special about a last gasp winner.
All things considered, I can totally understand why they're over the moon. If we'd pulled off that result in the mid-90's when we were finishing 6th and a mile off the pace, we'd have been the same.
It was their day, they're right to celebrate. I just hope we're celebrating a Europa League and EPL title come the end of the season...
