Leeds United are lining up an offer for Reading utility man Royston Drenthe, [football] direct news understands.
A source close to Elland Road told FDN new owner Massimo Cellino is anxious to invest in the playing squad and is aware that changes are needed if they are to launch a serious bid for promotion back to the top flight.

Single, most important position is the manager (coach ) . BM is not the man after last years performance. Get all the players you like,it's the coach that makes 'em play. MOT

Most important thing is to sort the clubs finances first, no doubt drenthe will probably be on 20 k a week, don't think cellino will be paying that...

He obviously is a decent player, but his discipline off the pitch is very bad, causes problems at clubs he's been at.
I only speak for the spanish ones, don't know how he did at everton.
As above wages?
But that is up to cellino.

Talented player, but clearly no desire to ascend with it. Madrid labelled him as the next Edgar Davids. But his mentality took him from the Bernabeu to the Madjeski.

IF it were true, then just how much input is our manager having/getting on potential signings?
Is he still on holiday? Seems his phone is working, as he's undoubtedly talking to ex-players.
He may come back from his holidays to find he's got a squad already picked for him.

Yep ...... I suspect Mr Cellino is currently having lessons on the completion of a P45 form ............ lets face it, he's sacked the admin staff so he'll be completing it himself ........
