What A Cracking Game Of Rugby

Well, what a superb game of rugby today, and before you read on, remember this, I am a Saint till I die.

1. Today's game should never have been played. Champions are decided over a whole season, not just a couple of money-spinning games after the season is done.
2. 3 tries to 1, the better team own today's game.
3.Saracens won the league. For that reason they are Champions in my eyes, as they were last year.

And what was that with giving Stevie Myler MOTM. Courtney was awesome for 100 minutes.

Agree on Lawes, he was brilliant. Always happy to see Sarries lose.
Looking forward to today more though, Roko shouldn't be playing he should be in NZ! Big fan of Daly and Sinkler will be world class very soon, best young prop I have seen in ages, maybe ever.

Demus

Do you really think you're going to learn an awful lot from today's game? Can't see it myself. Just another game in a flurry of games which has undermined the whole tour season in my book. Mind you the timing of this year's tours has been shocking.

OK I'm biased, but I think that if he hadn't been playing yesterday, Alex Waller would have improved that England side today. He's been a rock while Corbs was injured.

It wasn't about learning, it was a Baabaa's match. Once again Hosea Gear tore an England side to shreds, the guy is class, happy to hear he intends on going back home after a year in Japan with the aim of playing in the WC. Which brings me on to Kaino, I watched the Blues play and he is back! Perhaps not 2011 Kaino but what a player, glad to see him back on the scene.
I gave Rokoduguni the kiss of death, he was awful, missed so many tackles. Worst game I ever saw him play. Daly missed a couple too but with ball in hand he was awesome, I wish Wasps played him FB all year, otherwise he will become another James Hook.

Ahh, memories.

Hi there Chaps,

Hope you're all well, on the Saints - Saracens game like yourselves I have mixed feelings. On the one hand surely a league is decided over the course of the 22 game season - otherwise why play such games at all? On the other hand the match was a great game of rugby and absolutely addictive stuff which will help rugby attract more players and continue the development of the game.

Needless to say the spectacle of the game was driven largely by what was at stake, so how you square that circle I don't know, but what a game it was

SARS

You forgot to mention refs who have been at their best this season - except NO of course.

Of course it was a game that shouldn't have been played and Saracens are the champions in at least this Saints fan's eyes. I had the opportunity to go on a corporate jolly, but turned it down. Just didn't want to be there.

And what an unsatisfactory way to win any match, never mind the season's supposed climax. OK, we saw eventually that AW had some sort of control of the ball when he went over, but I'd have said Scrum 5, Northampton ball.

The very foundation of the game has always been the authority of the referee, and it is they themselves who are undermining that authority by going upstairs so often.

If you see it, give it. If you don't, don't. Right or wrong.
