What constitutes an overhaul?

With the news of Bryan Robson claiming the United squad doesn't need an overhaul, and Gary Pallister claiming we should trust Smalling and Jones to fill the void left by Rio and Vidic, how many first team places do people think we need to fill, and which ones?

Personally i'd take 2 new cm's, an experienced cb and a lb to go straight in, a back up rb also, it think that would use up our budget and some.

Does the 1st team need an overhaul? you tell me.

In order of priority:
2 CMs
1 LB
1 CB
1 RB

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This

4 of those must go straight into first 11. I think we need to sell Jones or Evans

doesnt matter who you have up front creating and scoring...you have to get your defence sorted first.

Liverpool found this out this season gone.

Smalls Jones or Evans are not good enough yet as a pairing.

We need a LB who can defend. We need competition for Raphael at RB.

Get that sorted and we can start to fix the MF.

Err why???

For me we need an experienced CB is needed. Yes we have 4 cbs in jones, smalling, Evans and Keane. However both Evans and Jones are very injury prone and Keane isn't proven.

Left back yes is needed

2 Centre midfielders is the big priority.

One winger aswell and that should just about do it.

For me promote varela

Get rid of fellIaini, Young, Anderson and Buttner

So
Like I said Jones and Evans are injury prone and Keane is unproven. We need IMO an experienced centre back to come in and hopefully overtime Jones and Smalling can become a partnership

5 cbs, 2 are injury prone, why keep both?

posted on 3/6/14

Because they are both decent cbs.

But they are both injury prone

They may (Jones especially) overcome it. Jones majority of time injures himself by going flying into challenges. If he sorts himself out which hopefully he will through maturity then he will be very useful to have. Certainly need to keep hold of both IMO

Would prefer we got rid of one and brought in an understudy.
