I don't 'support' Arsenal anymore.

Yes, the time has come for me and my GF to move to Stratford (nearer work) and into a new complex by the Olympic park.

Now Arsenal aren't my local team i'm gonna have to 'support' West Ham. Always been a fan of Big Sam and Andy Carroll as I believe they appeal to the football purists and play some pretty silky stuff.

So yeah, from now on the whole 'Robb is a closet Arsenal fan' thing is dead. I'm now a closet West Ham fan.

It's not just the people that irk me about London though. The cost of everything. I'm there trying to earn a living but charged like a tourist. The roads...my record of circling a street waiting for a parking space currently stands at 1hr 10mins. Haringey

I'd rather stay in Sudan.

I'm renting 1 room in a 2 bedroom flat at the moment. Not particularly big, and it's fúcking £600 a month + bills. My own choice I guess, but it's not even like I'm being paid a fortune (as people often cite London wages as a reason...)

On the bright side, I recently got a fecking huge payrise, so, it's not so bad now.

I couldn't do that, most I've lived with were 4 others at uni. Hated it. It wasn't too bad with three, and really not bad with 2. Would much rather have a 1 bed flat to myself though - but you're looking at £1,200+ a month for that!

Jay that's mental. 600 a month for a flat??

I'm lucky in that I bought back in 2001 before the market went mad. For a 2 bed detached cottage (that I had to do a fair bit of repairs on) with a garden....my mortgage is a third of your rent per month.

I'll be staying up north I think !

LOL@ '600 a month for a flat'?

Any salubrious place is London is two-three times that.
