Tried the WC bit but, due to the fact that you can only buy packs and not trade, got fed up. Kept getting the same shítty players and then you have to discard them for 0. All the while playing against someone with a perfect Euro/S.American team.

What team do you have on the normal format?

Yeah the packs thing is pretty annoying but if you win the WC you get 30K and 3 free 12 item packs

Got v annoyed with my normal team as I kept just coming up against people with eto'o and sturridge up front. I have an all brazilian team, except for the PSG GK as the brazilians are all dodgy as hell!

Robben is down to about 95k now or so, since the Birthday celebrations and TOTS's all came out everything has dropped massively.

Pretty good team with a few IF's in there.

Yeah, ST isn't great but at least your Jo is an IF though... You could position change Ronaldinho or another CM/CAM with decent pace/shooting. Diego of Wolfsburg would be a good shout, 78ish pace and I think 82 shooting. Or Roberto Firmino TOTS, he is a CAM with 80ish pace and 82ish shooting. Only cost me about 22.5k for mine with a Hunter on.

You start off with an awful team and then play matches to earn coins or by doing seasons. you then save up the coins and buy packs either bronze silver or gold.

Obviously gold is the better players but don't ever expect to get the likes of messi and ronaldo or you can buy players from the transfer market which people have put up for sale

Whats the deal with Fifa Ultimate Team, do you basically pick a team of superstars and play online v other peole teams?

Seasons is the best mode IMO, this ultimate team makes it sound way too easy

No, no, no...

You have to win matches to get coins and buy players. You can't just pick any players you want and whack them together.

You also have to factor in chemistry - so players "connected" to each other in your line up have to be from the same nation, league or team to get up to 10 chemistry points, which slightly increases their in-game stats.

It's good, you have a goal. Playing normal seasons is so boring, there isn't really a target and it's all the same along the way (against PSG, RM or City every match).

You can also trade (which is the easiest way to make coins and ergo buy better players). Get to know the market, buy players/other items that people have put up too cheap and sell them on for profit.

Buying packs, you will generally get dross all the time and then have to sell them to get more money and buy gradually better players. Also, you have to devote a not-insignificant amount of your coins to 'contracts' - each player has to have more contracts or they can't be in the team or subs.

You that's why I like it but the downfall is when you come up against someone who has 3 pacy forwards it will always end up a high scoring game especially teams made up from the bundesliga.

That L1 and Triangle ball over the top is a killer

Haha, yeah trick is to make sure you have 2 quick CB's if playing 3 at the back. My TOTS Sokratis has 80 pace

L1 Triangle is a b4stard when you get caught out - brilliant when you do it to someone else though and then lob the keeper

I the love the lob over the keeper it's great.

What i hate though is when someone straight from kick off passes the ball back to there CB and he does a lob through ball to the striker. who is onside and in miles of space and just has an easy finish.

Giving away a corner is like giving away a penalty most of the time and the GK's do some stupid things!!

I know, that one is ridiculous. I don't know how it's done...

You can tell when someone is doing it though as their striker just shoots off towards your box after passing it back to their CB. Best thing to do is press UP on the D-Pad twice which tells your defenders to play 'offside trap'

Also, another tip - when someone is through on goal with your keeper (if they have a bit of a way to go) press triangle to bring the keeper off his line just so the other guy can see, then let go and your keeper will get back to his line, in the mean time though the other guy will have pressed lob and your keeper will have a simple catch

FUT is class, and i reckon the world cup update is even better than the normal one.

Opened around 1.1m coins worth of packs on it so far as cant see myself going back to normal mode (tried every player bar Toty ronaldo) and stil cant find me ronaldo/messi when everyone seems to have them!


Ive got to the stage where im opening packs with 0 new players in and when the golden ball spins it just shows a contract card as i have it all already!
