Hibs' Karma

Butcher's been sacked today. Yet another example of fate having fun with Hibs:

Terry Butcher - 2nd place at ICT, moves to Hibs, relegated, sacked.
ICT get into first ever final.

David Wotherspoon - Player at Hibs, released. Signs for St. Johnstone, St. Johnstone win first ever trophy.
Hibs relgated.

Liam Craig - Big player at St. Johnstone, moves to Hibs, loses 9-0 to Malmo, relegated.
St. Johnstone win first ever trophy.

Rowan Vine - Player at St. Jonstone, moves to "better club" Hibernian, loses 9-0 to Malmo, released in January, moves to Morton, relegated to League One, loses 10-2 to Hamilton, released from Morton.
St. Johnstone win first ever trophy.

Jason Cummings - Hearts player, Hearts fan, laughs on Twitter about Hibs' potential relegation, released from Hearts, signs for Hibs. Misses decisive penalty in penalty shoot-out to relegate Hibs.
Hearts also relegated.

Jason Scotland - Scores winner for Dundee United against Hibs in a Scottish Cup semi-final. Forced to leave United due to Hibs panel's bitterness. Signs for Hamilton 9 years later. Plays against Hibs in play-off final. Puts on man-of-the-match performance, scoring one, assisting another, and scores the final penalty to relegate Hibs & promote Hamilton.

Who'd be a Hibs fan?

Vine's comments: “Hibs are a much bigger club in my eyes and a better one.
I wanted to progress and that’s no disrespect to St Johnstone, a smaller club in the SPL whose goals for the season should probably be a little bit less.
They over-achieved in the last two seasons and I would imagine Hibs sets their standards a lot higher and expect to be finishing a lot higher up than St Johnstone."

What a pair of absolute wallopers. Especially Vine!

Its the curse of Inverness for managers. Any manager who has done well at Inverness and left for a 'bigger club' has failed miserably at the 'bigger club' and their managerial career has not recovered.

Steve Paterson to Aberdeen
John Robertson to Hearts
Craig Brewster to Dundee United
Terry Butcher to Hibernian.

The only other managers Inverness have had in their history - Baltacha, Christie & Hughes - have never managed any other team afterwards either.

Literally no manager in history has left Inverness and became a success elswhere...
