United redmacca - he was quotes as saying it to the media. Was he wearing a club blazer and tie when he said it? I don't know. Hope that clears that up for you.

I asked you if there are any official quotes because I can't find any. Only media 'stories'

He was quoted. Can't recall where I read it now. I'm Not really sure what the difference is between an official quote, a quote and a media statement.

If there was an official quote, it would have been stated

I cannot find a single quote from Van Gaal on this and tbh, I'm not surprised. It isn't the sort of thing he would come out with before he's even started the job imho

I found the original article in The Guardian and also the MEN and neither has a single quote on it

Still, I do believe he may have given Ed his targets anyway after what Peter Schmeichel said last week (I think)
