Didn't deserve the boos although I am guessing that the boos were (rightfully) aimed at Wenger who surely can now no longer delude himself into believing we are good enough to finish 4th never mind compete for trophies.
I thought that with the players we had on the pitch they couldn't have put in any more heart and effort and at the end simply weren't good enough. Jenkinson, Frimpong, Miquel all making debuts, Lansbury coming on to shore up the midfield, want away Nasri and Bendtner being turned to in desperation, this is the fault of Wenger's and nobody else's - injuries or no injuries.
Liverpool are a poor team and lucky offside freak goal / predictable red card aside it was embarrassing how in periods of the match they looked so much the better team than us on our home patch. We got beat a lot of times last season but were never outplayed (Barca aside) like we were today.
Something has to give, spend some money Wenger or leave. If we lose on Wednesday it is season over before it's begun.
Feel Sorry For The Players

Agreed, we need someone to play Nasri's role from out wider, 'cause at the moment I'm not sure where Arshavin's next good performance is coming from.

Nasri started playing very deep in the second half so it's understandable why he faded in the 2nd half. Was still head and shoulders above Theo, Ramsey and Arshavin who I thought were all very average.
We need to add more quality in this team or else we won't finish top4. Scoring goals will be a major problem this year and i really fear for us if Wenger doesn't get atleast 2 top class attackers.

We still haven't won a single game in which Nasri has played central midfield and this could be his last game. He really is a shocking central midfielder.

He is still way better than all our current midfielder. Even if he stays we should play him out wide and play Gervinho on the opposite side. Gervinho and Theo together disrupts the whole system as we are very wasteful in possession and as fo Arshavin, he is not good enough to start. Imo this would be our best team:
-------------Scsezny
Sagna Kos Verm LB?
--------------Song
---------Wilshere-New CM
Gervinho----------------------Nasri
---------------RVP

WMYC I'd rather play 4-4-2 and play Arshavin off RVP (or preferably Hazard if we sign him).
So sick of this 4-3-3 formation it doesn't bloody work if Cesc isn't playing!

Batmanu- I agree but I highly doubt that Arsene will change the formation this season. He hasn't tried it once, not even during pre-season! I think we're stuck with the 4-3-3 system for this season.

Without reading back through the thread... (not got time right now, but will tomorrow) answer me this...
How does everyone feel about Frimpong?
Happy about his overall contribution?
Think he was immature and reckless picking up two yellows?
Personally, I'm feeling much better about him playing than I was before today.
Sorry to hijack the thread a bit Batmanu.

I was very impressed with Frimpong. Already looks a much better prospect than Song. He needs more experienced players around him in midfield though.

Good man. My thoughts too.
All those people that were dissing the guy's passing ability too?
His distribution was great I thought. can't really remember his misplacing a pass.

Also he is an absolute beat like Essien! What do these Ghanians eat?
