Apparently there is a lot of politics going on inside FIFA as they try and decide Suarez' fate. One of the key figures is an Argentine who has a lot of influence in FIFA and is pushing hard for a minimal punishment...so while most of the outside world expect FIFA to throw the book at him, do not be surprised if the punishment is surprisingly lenient and certainly not a club level ban.

I suspect the Uruguayan representitives in FIFA will have their allies close by and will ask for a favour from the rest of the committee maybe. You scratch my back etc scenario.

Devonshire, I would be surprised if FIFA argued this was his first offence at international level so the two club level incidents don't count but that's the only way I could see FIFA mitigating it TBH.
