Ross is right

Lots of dross about Ross on the boards at the moment. Fact is, he's had one good season.. He is at his peak as a footballer. His working life as a pro will be over in about 7 years. This is maybe his only chance to secure a better deal for himself and his family. Fact is, one injury can end it all.
If you were in his boots, can you honestly say you would stand by your contract when everyone knows that a contract can be bought out at a moment's notice?
As for you lot carping on about loyalty and the good old days where players stayed with us through thick and thin, I say, look where it got them. You think the club looks after them for the next 40 years? You think they made enough back then to give them any kind of security? Do you think any of them had a clue what was waiting for them when they hung up their boots? Do you think anyone prepared them for life after football?
Look at our players of old, selling their medals and telling their stories on the circuit, night after night, ambassadors for the club, attending charity events or giving opinions which are dated, irrelevant and often, plain daft, these men were once warriors. These men once gave everything for the shirt and look what it got them.
Ross kept us in the Championship last season. He has earned his right to do what he wants and no-one should begrudge him that.

With the greatest respect Hgate.
You are correct that Admin can be messy with the points deduction. But Admin is the cheapest option for the purchaser considering who else was out there without a pot to you know what in. GFH seemed hamstrung and desperate to sell. They werent putting any money into the club and them winding up orders would have went through and the club would have been in Admin. GFH would have had to accept a low offer or bail themselves out (which they wouldnt do). Again hope this clarifies my position.

I see what you meant. But there were a few offering to buy the club, GFH sold to the man offering what they wanted.

Giving him credit for something that would never have happened there.

It's not about change, it's about doing things right.

Completely agree

White, Cellino paying Enterprise and SC wasn't Cellino doing Leeds a favour, he was fulfilling the club's contractual obligations.

Admin is a very dangerous game to play, many parties can bid, there is no guarantee you would get it for the price you would hope for.

No way Ross is going to another Championship club, Cellino said he wouldn't

LUFC H'GATE

So they took the money from the man offering the right price...?

Is that wrong then..?

I only know of one other consortium realistically looking to buy the club, can you tell us who the 'few offering' were.

I'd give him credit for buying the club, I think he's chosen a great club to buy.

Jonty

If Foolham offered £12m would you accept it, even if you'd said that, or would you hold out for £5m from a PL club...?

Who said it was wrong?

I'm saying admin wasn't an option to buy us through for Cellino anyway.

Together Leeds for one...

Aye because he bought us before we got that far...!!

"He didn't, he just wanted to try and get out of paying something."

....and you know that for sure do you Jonty? Are you privy to the details of why MC contested the repayment of the loan?
