The same as it ever was.
The manager persists with his favoured lone forward formation.
Beckford is not nor never will be able to play as a lone forward, nothing sticks to him,he cant hold the ball up to allow the midfield, who are 10-20 yards too deep,to get close to him.
We need,as we have needed for season after season, pace in the wide midfield/winger positions.
Not rocket science, and you certainly do not need to be a qualified coach to see them simple problems.
SAME OLD, SAME OLD.

Why did they boo when Fellaini came on to replace Beckford. Simple. Beckford was trying. Fellaini could not run pass or shoot. What exactly did he have to offer? Answer. Zilch.

A one legged man could have set that up. He didn't even break sweat. Don't try and defend the indefensible.

I can't believe some fecking muppets are trying to pin the defeat on Kenwright! I don't recall him being on the pitch yesterday.
Moyes sent out a team that was unexpected but that created chances. We could have and should have been 3 up at half time. Beckford isn't a lone striker and looked worse and worse as the game went on. That said, he gave 100% and Saha should have been brought on to support him at half time.
Rodwell on the right wing was my biggest disappointment. I don't want to have a pop at the young lad (he says before laying into him) but he looked absolutely useless. I'd have rather had Anichebe out there. No energy, no urgency, no pace and seemingly no brain, which a couple of years ago I thought would make him a world beater.
Another thing...Phil Neville has played with David Beckham and Leighton Baines. Probably the two best crossers of the ball I've seen with my own eyes. Can somebody teach the lad to wrap his flaming foot around a ball?! I can't believe a Premier League footballer can be so inept in such a basic area of the game. It's beyond a joke.
But Barkley looked good...

Rodwell,
Being asked to play wide right is the problem.
The lad has not even settled into his preffered position.
His natural talent at defensive mid is being drained from him.
Barkley, without trying to put to much expectation and pressure on him,is going all the way to the top.
The authority on the ball, the calmness in possession, the willingness and eagerness to accept the ball is a joy to see.
Dead easy game football, pass & move into a position were you can affect the play.DONT,like the majority of our midfielders, pass and stand still.

Last season, in the Premiership, only Tevez and Van Persie scored more goals per total MINUTES on the pitch than Beckford. Fact.
From where I'm standing, that's why your manager hasn't got a clue what he is doing and why with Moyes you will NEVER reach the Champions League. From the games I saw on Sky, the distribution to Beckford was awful; can't blame any striker for that. The goal he scored againt Man U came from a class ball, something I saw little of; Cahill and Arteta don't seem to have figured that you have a striker in the team, so the lack of doesn't surprise me at all. Getting some 'reject' striker in on loan from another club ain't going to change your fortunes.
