The MEN has an interesting piece talking about the futures of Nastasic, Negredo and Garcia saying all could be sold and the club are interested in offers. With the restriction placed on the squad in terms of non home grown players over 21, we have players that may not get into the PL squad.
My take is that it could be possible that we sell all three for about £50M which could be the launch pad for an expensive home grown purchase. The MEN reckon that City will go after Barkley next summer after being quoted a ridiculous price by Everton, but maybe we could go sniffing again.
Big sales to fund a big purchase?

Can't see Garcia or Negredo going anywhere
It's not a particularly big squad as it is when you take into account the deadwood ( Richards Boyata Sinclair Nastasic Rodwell Guidetti )
Hart Caballero
Clichy Kompany Demichellis Rekik Sagna Zabaleta Kolorov
Fernando Fernandinho Yaya Silva Milner Navas Garcia Nasri Lopes
Negredo Aguero Jovetic Dzeko
Need bodies in rather than out id say

Barkley would be absolutely crazy to move to City right now. At Everton, he's a guaranteed starter. At City, (like most English players), he's there to make up the numbers.

MEN said we already have 17 non home grown over 21 and we are open to decent offers on those 3. Boyata is only there as he's home grown! We do need extra bodies but not future deadwood.

At City I'd like to think Barkley would be fighting for a starting spot against the likes of Yaya and Ferna. That challenge is something he should go for. Getting into the Toffees team is too easy for him.

You may be right, and with Yaya crying over everything at the moment, he may well be trying to force a move.

Doesn't Fernando cover for Garcia's position. So we could let him go. Or do we still need to keep cover for the inevitable ACON period - assuming Yoyo stays?

Garcia definetly improved as the season went on but , if Yaya stays surely Garcia is surplus now. Even in ACON we have Fernando/Fernandinho/Milner/Rodwell/Silva/Navas/Nasri without any youngsters coming through. Also VK used to play midfield I believe so could do a job at DM if needed.
I thought Garcia could do a reasonable job but if money is needed he ought to be the casualty. Looks like Jovetic and Dzeko as the starters up front for a month or so, Jovetic owes the club a few goals and they will help him settle if they arrive.
I'd like to see Micah stay but understand he needs a fresh start, not much of a queue for him sadly, which says much about his sicknote record. Maybe drop the price but add ons based on availability?

Garcia is also centre back cover

To be fair PPLF, that wasn't the greatest success! Micah could do a job there, as can Sagna. Think we may keep Richards, just because no-one else wants to take the risk, in which case he could play RB/CB quite a bit, at least till the World Cup returnees are fully fit. Zabba needs a rest and VK needs to be sure he is clear of the niggles he had last season.
