Done what? scored the most goals as a Portuguese player, what does that mean? If he were top scorer then maybe you would listen, and even then its by no means a top standard divison.

If you really wanted to you could look up the highest scoring portuguese players in the league previously, you will probably find they have not gone for that much, I couldn't even name who it could possibly even be.

Yes but he is signing for the biggest club in the league. The average wage at Benfica will be double or perhaps treble that.

The point is he is a Portuguese player being signed by a Portuguese team.

Nico Gaitán - €13,925 (Euros)

Hopefully that gives you more of a general idea as to how much they are earning a week. Remember that the PL is the most financially lucrative league in the world and most other leagues are simply not on the same level
