Driving to Orlando tomorrow, how strict are the cops on speeding? I heard that state troopers are very hard and should be avoided.

Two things to remember if you get pulled over!

Never get out of the car unless told to do so.

Always be polite & respectful. If you get stopped for speeding then it is most likely going to be either a Highway Patrol guy or a Sherriff's deputy.

If given a ticket you normally get 30 days to pay it. You can always risk not paying it, however you have around a 30% chance of being caught next time you enter the States!

One more thing:

In America it is normal to greet any type of law enforcement officer by pulling a gun out of your glovebox and pointing it in their general direction. Thank me later
