Hello hudderfield,
Bolton fan in peace
First and foremost, unlucky in the playoffs - I know getting so far only to fail at the final hurdle hurts - I've still not got over that semi final against stoke
Anyway, onwards and upwards. With us being short in the striker department next season, rumors are rife that young Danny ward will feature in our first team next season. So my question is simple... is he good enough?
Good luck for next season
Danny ward

Boltons debts are personnal loans from your chairman.
Our funding comes directly from our chairman, Not loans etc.
Bolton, Preston, Burnley and Huddersfield maybe in different leagues, But all are clubs with history tradition and are of similar ilk, Crowd wise, Catchment area etc.
Our stadiums design and build, architects, are the same with the exception that you filled the corners.
Ours is easy to get to and has pubs, town centre and rail links close by, The Reebok is in the middle of nowhere.
Ward was ok for us, And i would bite your hand off to take him again, But he would not have had the game time he has had if Pilkington was not injured !
Yes you have had some quality internationals grace your side, But they came because of Big Sam not because they chose Bolton.

What do you mean that its in the middle of nowhere, a
train station right next to it, plenty of pubs near the reebok.

They are not proper pubs.
Your current side does not contain anyone of the calibre of Jayjay or Campo, Coyle is a good manager who gets the most out of your players but he will never attract the type of players Allardyce did.

Maybe not but you have to admit Holden, Chung yong and Cahill are exceptional players.
We still got Petrov to come to us - even if he hasn't set the premier league on fire this season.

What is going on in Yorkshire. We've had Wednesday fans having a pop. Now Huddersfield! Maybe Leeds, Barnsley or Bradford next?
Maybe fans in Yorkshire should come back when the county has prem league representation eh!
The op was asking a very reasonable question. Can't understand why it became a discussion about bolton getting relegated and a stadium comparison.
Good to see the spirit of 606 lives on.

cef..
i have nothing against bolton..i think a great many clubs would glady accept what has been achieved there over the last few years..
i give you west ham , blackpool and birmingham as just 3 examples..
you have to say there for as long as you can and try to move on..

Let's not argue about these things.
Our Sky income next season will match the entire GDP of the town of Huddersfield.
We got onto the Sky gravy train and HTFC didn't. Some luck & some good decisions..
But with some bad luck and bad decisions it could be rolls reversed at anytime...

We're all just fed up and pessimistic after another promotion play off failure...we'll get over it, we've had enough practice. To me Ward needs to lose a pound or two as he seems a little 'stiff' and immobile at times, but he has a heck of a shot on him, when he gets an opening. At 19 he is a good prsospect though.
