Our problem in the transfer window right there, in a nutshell. We are pessimistic because we believe PSG to be interested. Unbelievable! What is the issue?! If you want the player, offer more to Madrid, and give Di Maria a salary he can't turn down! What is with this small club mentality?!
United Pessimistic in Di Maria Pursuit

When was the last time United went and bought from Europe a player who EVERYBODY wanted? A top world class player. Veron was the last one.
..........
How did that work out?
How much have we won by not following that kind of policy?

It shouldn't be viewed as a policy. That's the point.
If there is a player at a top club in Europe, why should we not enter into SERIOUS bidding and pay whatever it takes?

Because sometimes there are more variables than that that will govern a transfer.
One day you will learn that the real world isn't fantasy football.
Sadly we are the victim of our current state of affairs during this window. Anyone who thought LVG would jump into squad rebuilding without first assessing the squad is really a bit of a cretin.

Nobody mentioned FF. However, like you intimated there is a policy in place not to enter bidding wars for the best players in Europe.

Dear OP
I've read your article, and to be frank, it fail to see what the hoo-hah is about. Depending on which paper you suscribe to United are pushing forward with some signings and other papers have us dillying on others.
It is all fine and dandy wanting the player, but has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe, just maybe, the player prefers Paris to Manchester (playing along and believing these reports of course). I am sure I can point to instances where teams like Chelsea and Arsenal looked to have dithered in the market so it isn't like this perceived behavior is synonymous only with Man United.
On a side note though, why exactly should we offer money to PSG?

Was looking at him on youtube again Madrid would be mad to sell him tbh serious quality, he has a habit of playing a long ball out of defence, its very accurate. They should keep khedaria too, arent him and kroos a dream midfield?
