Pitch Invaders...

https://vine.co/v/M3mMh7dKTa2

A quality freekick i must say

... but i digress, what i want to know is why, across all football grounds even in Europe and FIFA matches, they still insist in employing ...ahem 'LARGE' stewards who obviously cannot match up to the pitch invaders' speed or agility.

Why can't they employ lean , athletic stewards or even get unemployed athletes or footballers to volunteer for the home games? Just anyone who can do a 100 meter dash without looking out of sorts.

Or does any authoritative figure have to be of the 'LARGE' kind i.e. cops, politicians ...etc

Thoughts?

Seriously, why did the Spurs player put his hands to his head as the shot was saved?! Did he really think it would count?

Also, shame on the keeper. He should have let it in! I bet at the back of his mind he was wondering "would this count if it went in?"

my brother told me of a match where the ball boy put the ball in and the ref let it stand

Exactly - and rightly so (in the laws of the game). You can get it on youtube.

But if the ref hadn't blown for the Spurs free-kick, I guess it wouldn't stand. The proof of that is that they got to "re" take the kick
