Apparently, according to caughtoffside we are bidding £24m for both Hernandez & Fellaini.
Now I know caughtoffside is not a reliable source, but how do fellow Spurs fans react to the possibility of these two at WHL.
Looking at it from one viewpoint, Fellaini was a monster at Everton and his strength & power were obvious to all. He has not done half as well at United & has looked a shadow of his former self.
However I do not particularly like him, as I think he has a nasty streak and sometimes leads with his elbow to hurt players. Certainly during his time at Everton, he could have been sent off a number of times for off the ball elbows if he had been seen by the officials.
Hernandez is a proven Premier League goalscorer who is currently out of favour at United.
The question is, would he be an improvement on what we currently have? He is quick, sharp & seems to have a strikers natural instincts for goal, but would he improve us?
So where do I stand on this? Well in terms of value, two of them at £24m for the pair would be good business in today's market.
Fellaini's injury places an obvious question mark over any deal, however I still have a nagging doubt over whether I would want him in a Spurs shirt.
Am I being unfair on him or do some of you think he might be a success for us?
Hernandez & Fellaini!!!!!!!!

No he's not. I praye this rumour is true minus the Fellani. I think Hernandez is an excellent premier league striker who would thrive if we actually take to Pochettinos system.

hernandez would be a daft signing. if we were to sign another striker we need a big dominant frontman Bony style.
hernandez is literally the opposite to that.

Opposite maybe but why sign bony if we already have Adebayor? If anything then Hernandez would be a replacement for soldado. Now I'm not saying I want soldado sold by the way but Poch clearly don't rate him if he chose to bring Kane on for westham. Now if I had my way I would keep soldado but if we do sell him then I would be more than happy with Hernandez as a replacement

Wouldnt want either stinking up the Spurs squad

Hernandez might be an ok striker but he doesn't fit our style of play.
Kane is a better option than Hernandez. We should stop thinking the grass is always greener.

Beware Hernandez - a guy who seems perfectly happy knowing he will never play but receive a decent pay cheque nonetheless.
I think he's a good player but we probably need a tall strong forward who can hold the ball up (Bony, Benteke etc).
The other guy is no better than the army of average central midfielders we have.

Totally agree....
When you need a Plan B (what the majority of us claimed neither AVB or Sherwood had) whats the point bringing on a like-for-like? Hernandez is a player we have been craving for years.
Some posters were saying only a couple of days ago that we need a direct striker - how much more direct do you want? the guy is an absolute goal scorer and poacher. He makes runs whether he thinks they are 99% pointless - i would do everything i could to get Hernandez, assuming the fee is around £15m or less.

So would I chicken. I think Poch could mix and match the formation a bit aswell and go Adebayor and Hernandez upfront or even Kane and Hernandez who I think would thrive off as Kane is an intelligent player and seems to have good vision
