Gossip going around that Blues want Leon

I hope he goes, wasting his time here and deserves to get his career going again.
Just hope we can get in a couple of strikers as getting rid of him and bringing in one leaves us in the same situation.

It wouldn't be the same if we bought in someone good

The depth is the problem.
I would rather have someone with over 30 goals and 180 games to his name at this level as third choice right now rather than have to turn to Liam McAlinden an unknown quantity.

Well you are close to being on your own with that view. A promising youngster v a failed signing. Let's not give the kids a chance eh? They are all unknown quantities.
So what's you opinion about Leon this minute? One minute you hope Leon goes, next you would rather he stayed. I sometimes think you have no conviction about any opinion, you just spout claptrap hoping it starts an argument

My opinion on Leon is that until he actual fails based on performances i won't label him as one.
But it is clear many fans such as yourself have made up your minds the minute he came to the club, so for his sake i would rather he just left and put it down as a mistake to come here.
For my sake i hope he stays as i believe when called upon he can do a job, he is apparently looking sharp in training, proved his sharpness in pre season and in the one game he played this season he wrongly had a goal disallowed.
As i say, until he fails performance wise, i won't be labeling him as rubbish or anything of the sort.

He has failed for most of the last ten years.
I think that you are the only person that sees someone not being good enough to be selected for the first team as a reason to back them. We had the same with Siggy. I said before we signed him that he would never get established in Wolves first team. So you think I should change that opinion cause it turned out to be right?
And maybe you think the idiot Jackett is not picking him, and hunting for a new striker, because he is sharp in training, proved himself in pre season and scored against Northampton? Seems to me that Kenny's view of Leon has become not very different to mine.

Isn't it amazing that an article all about our new signing digresses yet again into a squabble about Clarke. Well done DJ. Any real reason you brought it up other than to get a reaction and start another argument?

We are looking for another striker because we only have two and a player untried at just about any level.
And as with siggy, I will criticize once he fails, siggy, despite all the one eyed views of him, had a decent first season with us, sadly he dropped off in the second season.

I just don't know what to make of the whole Clarke thing.
On one hand I agree with DJ that he certainly doesn't have the most impressive CV. This of course begs the question why the hell did we buy him in the first place?
I can also see Cinci's argument and agree that to get rid of him without giving him a run of games seems a bit unfair to me. Siggy was given plenty of chances to impress and failed miserably but Clarke really has had no opportunity to impress other than pre-season where he consistently out-scored Dicko.
If he goes to Blues you can lump on him scoring against us.
