Are we putting pressure on Juve?

Last night there was a sudden rush of media stories about United switching our attentions from Vidal to Carvalho. Now, it could be that LVG/club has decided that the money being asked is too much considering Vidal's knee problems.

However, I am wondering if perhaps it is a ploy by the club to release stories to the press about our interest in Carvalho in order to put pressure on Juve to accept a lower bid for Vidal.

It just seemed strange to me that these stories about Carvalho suddenly appeared at the same time. Of course, it could just be the outlets all copying the original story, but some of the more reputable newpapers ran the story on their sites, so not so sure.

What do you think? Are we after Carvalho? Is it leverage for a possible Vidal deal. Or is it just media BS?

"Manchester United have received bids from Valencia and Juventus for Javier Hernandez.

"The 26-year-old joined United from Guadalajara in 2010 and has won two Premier League titles."

I really have no problem with Hernandez leaving.

As a striker in a supposed top club his game is just not good enough.

Let's not get into all that tweet interpretation business again!

Fine by me, just happy you are taking a more sensible view this time.

When someone is expressing an honest view on something, calling them thick & claiming they can't read doesn't show you in a good light. (especially when you agree there may not have been contact the following day)

Oi, Arctic Monkey!

I wasn't the one you were arguing with nor the one who got abusive!

Arctic - VC claimed we will one day realise there has never been interest from us. I said the statements from Vidal and his agents suggest otherwise (ie there has been contact and therefore interest) not sure what your point is. You seemed to struggle yesterday with the presence and meaning of the word since within the agents statement. I seem to remember somebody suggesting the persons making statement may have A poor grasp of English. Does that mean we dismiss every statement until somehow satisfied with their grasp of English? Ridiculous.

Red Russian - happy to discuss my interpretation of hummels tweet if you want but first I would ask you read it for yourself and offer your interpretation of it.

If you can't distinguish between
"definite contact" & "suggest there has been some form of contact" Then I'm p/ssing in the wind & I'll leave you to it.

Arctic - the statement says there has been some form of contact at some point. Clear enough for you? Jesus. Il write it crayon in really big letters for you next time.

Yep, I'll leave you to it.

Purely out of curiosity, do you think insulting people & stamping your feet helps you to get your point across?

Arctic - my my you re a sensitive flower. I will remind you it wasn't me that instigated this exchange over a topic that I believed we covered quite adequately yesterday.
