Arsenal finances?????

I've been reading the various articles that suggest the reason why so many players leave Arsenal, and so few come instead of going to other top teams, is because, quite simply, we do not offer competitive wages.
According to the articles, Man City, Chelsea, Man U etc can entice our players or prospects with much greater wages, and this is down to the Board's stance, not Wenger's.

Personally, this seems to be true.

I've noticed that current Arsenal players NEVER feature in the wealthiest footballer lists - but ex-Arsenal players do. Which is clearly why the majority leave, 'trophies' is just a smokescreen.

My question is this: how come then that Arsenal have the third highest wages bills?
Where does all the money go, if not on competitive salaries?
Does it go on secondary staff, ie admin, grounds, management etc?
If that is so, why is Arsenal any different to anybody else?

Do we pay a fortune to kids? If so, is this good practice?

And if it is so, in any other business or service, you would be looking to make cuts to maintain essential services.

I admit to knowing nothing about the finances, but can we not pay better wages by cutting out some of the 'deadwood' that never sees the pitch?

Are Arsenal the only team on the Stock Exchange?

No they are not, but there are more English teams not on the stock market in both the Premier League and the Championship.

It doesn't mean a massive ammount even if you are registered on the stock market. The size of your company on the stock market would be another thing entirely. Depends what each club puts into it really.

players like diaby, denilson, 60k each.

Your point is what? I don't get you!

The point I was making is that Arsenal may have to include everything in their wage bill as other teams do not have due to the stock exchange regularities.

We seem to be the 4th highest in wages at the moment but I'm not sure if these include everyone at the club.

Sorry, I may have mixed up your comment with another article... buzz.

So... we have the fourth highest wages bill in the EPL, which may or may not include every single employee of AFC... which are not included in other club's accounts... and yet we still have players leaving or not coming because they can get better salaries - MUCH better salaries - elsewhere.

I still cannot figure this out, it does not seem right.
Does it mean we are paying Lansbury, for example, or Afobe, whoever, fifty grand a week, the same as Nasri last season? And does it mean we are paying our tealadies fifty grand a week?
Does anybody know how our accounts actually work?

We need to understand this before passing judgement on Wenger.

Arsenal have never been publicly listed on the stock exchange. We're not a PLC.

it's got nothing to do with the stock exchange! for most other clubs, random employees are registered with their holding companies whereas arsenal put them all together.

and out wage bill is the 5th highest. liverpool's wage bill was higher than ours BEFORE their summer signings and our departures.

we had the 3rd or 4th highest wage bill a couple of seasons ago, when we had the likes of Adebayor, Flamini, Hleb, Cesc ect now most of the big big earners are gone.

Only RVP is on a huge amount 90k (not huges compared too 200k Rooney)
