No, welbecks space in the squad has gone to Falcao. All LVG has done is get us to pay the loan fee for them and take the player out of their squad for the period they have Falcao.

And Wenger is supposed to be the economist.

If they use him up front, he will score goals. If they use him as a winger, he will be cack. Wenger could get the best out of him and he has pace. Composure is his issue and that may be worked on with game time.

Do they have the option to make this move permanent?

Considering what was left to choose from, this was probably the best signing for Arsenal.

Not happy about the signing? I don't think a lot of United fans are particularly happy either. If it's a permanent signing, the mood will change dramatically. I personally find it funny because of the comments about him I've read on these boards over the last few days.

Welbeck will excel up front for Arsenal. I honestly believe Wenger could turn him into a 20 a season striker for us.
