From 10 to 3 plus 2

We started with 10 players being told this summer that they had no future with Wolves. Doyle and Ward have landed in the Premier League, Doumbia in Ligue 1, Forde at Walsall and O'Hara on the dole.

Boukari is injured (again) and will be on the books until the January transfer window. Heaven knows who would take a risk on him then. Sigurdarson is on loan in Norway until their season ends in November, then who knows.

That leaves three on the training ground at Compton. Wolves still hope someone will take Roger on loan but the most likely club, Sheffield Wednesday are doing fine without him. Foley will also hope to find somewhere and surely he could do a job in the lower divisions. While Magreitter made no impression with us, did little when reunited with Stale and will now be difficult to place anywhere.

So the burden is a lot less than it was a month ago but still looks like we will be paying 3 or 4 players for doing not much for a few months when it was only Jamie who was in that position last season.

Just reading that Mark Hudson who scored Wolves winner against Cardiff by slicing the ball into his own net, has been accused by someone within the club of scoring on purpose. It was his last game for the club before being transferred to Huddersfield and before he left, someone made that allegation but he won't say who, except to say it wasn't the manager.

Nah halfy. just saw the score, still winning 1-0 in injury time, down to ten men though.

Interesting accusation that is, and yes, pretty impressive if he meant it.

Malawi are pretty hopeless, would have been a shock if Mali hadn't won

So its Algeria next away on the 10th for Dicko and Sako. I cant see them making the Blackpool game on the 13th.
Think it could possibly be an LC start!!!

Yeah, I hoped the red card might give them a chance.

They will get out of this group sadly from wolves perspective.

Scotland though

Be no surprise if Dicko and Sako are left out of the starting 11 at Blackpool, especially as we have another game on Tuesday. Shame because the Blackpool game must represent a good chance of an away win, but a changed team may turn out to be stronger than having two nackered stars.

As for Scotland, glory in defeat. Nothing new there. They will probably also put in a good showing against Gibraltar.

Scotland are better than people realize right now, still weak but no whipping boys.

Still fancy a play off for them, shame Ireland got the win late.
