Watching the City vs Chelsea game, it is alarming how soft our defenders are. Look at Kompany, Magnala, Fernandinho, etc. These players are too soft.Gary Neville is talking about it now. We bang on here about ball playing cbs and all this nonsense, we need guys who are aggressive and competitive. Players who are ready to go to war every weekend ( Kompany). We have jeefy characters like Evans, ball playing my backside. Get in there and fight for your millions.

f anyone though replacing the likes of vida, rio and evra was easy, think farking hard again. It was no sentiment from Fergie, I see it as these three are near to impossible from replacing. Hummels is the best we could hope for.

Problem is there aren't many great CBs around. Evans has been getting bullied by big strikers for years. Jones is the only one for me and maybe Blackett that show a bit of grit and fight in the centre

You want aggression put Rojo at CB. The guy got 21 yellows and 4 reds in 49 apps. So place him at CB, sure to put a challenge in.

That was disgraceful. I don't want to single out any one of our defenders as it would be wrong not to give each and every one of them their fair share of criticism. BUT I was discussing Smalling with Darren the king Fletcher the other day and I said that he wants no part of any physical tussle and never wins an aerial battle with a centre forward. He strongly disagreed so I told him to see what happened next time he was in the team. Well, he did exactly what I thought he would and lost every duel. He was no worse than anybody else but the guy shurks physical battles
