I don't know if anyone has noticed but since we made the seating arrangement changes this season our scoring and conceding record is:.
Goals scored South end 2
Goals conceded South end 4
Goals scored North end 7
Goals conceded North end 0
If we add the Brighton play off game which is when we implemented the seating arrangement in earnest then it becomes
Goals scored South end 3
Goals conceded South end 5
Goals scored North end 10
Goals conceded North end 0
Something spooky going on here.
On a more serious note though. Look at the goals conceded this season and three have been from set pieces. All our goals scored have been from open play. I know it looks prettier but football is not like boxing or gymnastics. You don't win on points or get points for artistic impression.
We don't seem to be able to defend or score from set pieces. We play a lot of football down the flanks and have a lot of throw ins but we never seem to know what to do when we are awarded them. We have dominated most of the games we have played in and should be top or near the top of the Championship. Any suggestions on improving this aspect of our game?
Different personnel?
How about hiring Tony Pulis on a consultantcy basis for a week so he can pass on his wisdom on set pieces?
South Stand, what are you doing?

Before changing formation I reckon we should try not conceding soft goals.

Old Oscar thinks that just changing the way players line up on the pitch at kick off will make all the difference. How many times must it be said, it's the players that count.

But he has a great sense of humour and he doesn't mind having a laugh which in fairness you don't.

Old Oscar also wasn't being serious. If I had the choice I'd prefer to see us sort out our soft fnishing first.

My first born often says that we are good at creating chances to create chances but don't take the chances.

It's about ryhthm though Iwas, p.ssing all over the opposition, getting them to chase shadows, firing in a few half chances to get them scared, make them panic, overcomit on a challenge, lose composure, get out of position at which point we pounce. If you try and score from every attack you lose the flow maaaan, default towards a direct game, lose control of the game. Sometimes to pass the ball around you have to have an arrogant, laissez-faire attitude to the game, if you try too hard you lose the beat, the timing and you lose cool.
Apparently, after KTVA Alsaka's reporter Charlo Greene was asked what she would be doing now that she'd been fired for her live F-bomb and promotion of marijuana. She said 'I'm gonna roll a big bluuuuunt and watch the Derby' We're that
