LFC and FFP

I read an article by Marcotti today stating that Liverpool along with Monaco and a couple of other clubs will be having there accounts assessed and if deemed in breach or risk of breach of FFP then prize money will be withheld.

Having spent over 100m and having increased your wage bill are you confident you will pass FFP?

Not a wum article, just interested.

Sanction can mean different things.

The comment you should have made was

It would be a disgrace to implement sanctions against Liverpool.

From my limited understanding of FPP, aren't stadium and development costs excluded. We had losses of approximately £40m in 2011-12 which were costs attributed to the failed Stanley Park scheme, so of the £90m or so losses in the last two financial years, £40m odd would be excluded I think. If so, that brings our losses down to £50m, and then with the wage exclusion from 2011-12, I think that would bring us in line with FPP.

3 Options, huh trying to give them a way out, thats nice....ok, lets give Kolo a chance to 'Phone a Friend' or 50/50...
lets just hope that 'Friend' isn't 'John Henry's Explosive offence'...

OK, let's get back on topic, then.

1) What evidence do you have that "the fools running it" are corrupt?
2) Why is your club supporting some rules introduced by fools?

They can also buy players at one of the two farm clubs and loan them to city at no cost, with the other club paying their wages...

Someone clearly doesn't know the rules regarding loan players or the buying of players by MLS or Aussie teams.

Quite embarrassing really,

I know the noise, it's the one that everyone makes when you lot talk about arsenal winning the league.

To be fair stringer I did ask what you where on about and took it wrong.

Who's the keyboard warrior??

It will all come down to whether you can qualify for the pre 2011 contracts to be exempt, there is certain criteria in terms of your losses for that to be the case (criteria City thought they had met, which is why they weren't happy with the fine). From what I've seen in your accounts, you would qualify easily though.

Just on some earlier points quickly, net spend is irrelevant, FFP only looks at the profit and loss, not the balance sheet, and in that world it is amortisation that is important.
