Possession stats

Does anyone else think todays game could see us dominate possession for the first time this season?

I have a feeling Cambiasso and Drinkwater will boss the middle of the park, which will obviously give us a lot more of the ball. More possession should mean more chances and more goals but of course this is football so "should" goes out the window, but I still think we're going to win the midfield battle.

How do we think Colin will set up against us? Will they look to attack or be wary of our pace and try to keep it tight? By rights they should attack because we're a side they should be looking to beat but if they do it will inevitably give us a lot more space to cause them a lot of problems. Tricky one for Colin this.

This obsession with possession is a fallacy. Some teams have looked at Barcelona and thought that the only way to win is having 70%+ of possession, they do it well but it doesn't work for everyone. The most successful teams at present put the opposition under pressure high up the pitch and work hard to create chances rather than just passing between centre backs.

I'll agree that in certain games we could do with having more of the ball and I'm glad we are a "passing" team but I'm not bothered about dominating possession-we banged in 5 goals last week with 'only' 40%.

I agree completely. Arsenal for example had lots of possession but did very little with it, whereas we've not had much but when we have we've created chances and been clinical.

I knew we would create chances but I'm certainly impressed with how we've played without the ball this season. I know that was something I was concerned about before the season started but I'm a lot more confident now.

I'm not going to lie and say I don't want to see is dominate possession this season too and now I feel there's no reason to expect that at some point we will. I think starting today.

Well I was right about the possession, shame we couldn't do anything with it.

Back down to earth, Leicester only create a few chances every game.

5 chances was still enough to beat your lot. Get over it now mate you're starting to look bitter.

We had a blatant penalty not given with ten to go when Vardy was brought down.

The lino had a perfect view yet somehow failed to give it but not one of us has moaned about it because at the end of the day, we weren't good enough and there's no excuses.

I can't understand how that penalty wasn't given, he jumped on Vardys back like he wanted a piggy back but hey that's football - No complaints Palace were much the better side and deserved the three points

With Vardy what goes around comes around he will get more peno's for us.
As for the possesion business The Len
gend that is Warnock could see what we did with 35% possession and said let them have more but in areas they can't hurt us.

Anyone who thinks he's an idiot or does not know how to manage a team is Deluding themselves Burnley will do the same me thinks.

But no one said it was going to be easy well apart from Arro (sorry another lame attempt at humour my now under buddy)
