Results for other teams...............

That did not affect your team, in Club football, have really pleased you?

or disappointed you?

This one is gonna sound pathetic, but when Leicester won their last League Cup Final i was delighted, mainly because I wanted Cottee to at least have one of the 3 domestic medals before he retired. Sad but i actually liked the guy as a striker.

Arsenal win at Anfield in 1989. My Granddad's team and by default my second team. I watched that game more in hope than expectation and even as a 12 year old, I knew that it was probably the last season my Granddad would see the conclusion of and i wanted it SO much for him as much as anything.

A game that disappointed me a little, was the 1990 FA Cup Final. At the time I wanted a Palace v Oldham Final, but that aside in that first game on the Saturday I really wanted Palace to win that match. Even then United were the team i wanted to see lose the most. I think at that time I took a lot of my football based opinions from my dad and they were his least favourite team.

I wanted Forest to win the 91 Cup Final as well. That was nothing to do with Spurs (believe it or not) that was me wanting Clough to complete the set.

What happens if an English team wins Europa and another wins the CL and they're both outside the top 4? do we get 6, or is one of them shunted out?

Newcastle coming back to draw 4-4 with Arsenal.
Liverpool Smashing Arsenal 5-1
Man U beating Arsenal 8-2
Man City beating Arsenal 4-2 (that celebreation)
Spurs drawing 4-4 with Arsenal in the last minute
Liverpool beating Arsenal in the FA Cup Final, they only turned up for the last seven minutes.
Barcelona beating Arsenal in the Champions league final
Arsenal losing 5 -1 to spurs

I think that's about it but there might be one or two more

From what I understand the maximum is 5 teams from one country. Not sure what would happen if EL and CL winners were both from England. In fact, didn't a Spanish team win EL and CL this year? Wasn't it Sevilla who won EL?

Hull not hanging on to their 2 goal lead against Arsenal in the FA cup final
John Terry slipping taking the pen in the CL final
Utds comeback v Bayern

All very disappointing

Yup - but then it was Real who got CL and they had already qualified, so no problem.

I think I would cry with laughter if Spurs got 4th again and two lower-placed teams took EL/CL and nabbed their place.

Oh yeah, good point... It's incredibly unlikely that two teams from one league will win both Euro comps and neither finish top 4, so it's probably not been thought about.

I know it's unlikely - but it would be hilarious. And seems a bit odd that they haven't even considered the possibility. I reckon 4th place trumps Europa, but I doubt UEFA would think that as it's their "spare" competition...
