Sanchez vs Di Maria.... so far

In the match yesterday i was very impressed with Sanchez and his general attacking play. He seems to be very committed and hard working in combination with his talent.

It got my thinking how the two biggest buys of the summer are shaping up in comparison. Both were stars at the world cup and both are clearly top, top quality players from their previous club form. Both have signed for clubs with similar ambition

*On a note here were some stats provided by a United fan a while back from last season.

Di Maria has 82.1 per cent pass completion rate
Sanchez has 79.7%.

Di Maria averages 2.7 key passes per game.
Sanchez averages 1.4.

Sanchez comples on average 1.1 dribbled per game.
Di Maria arevares 1.4.

Sanchez get dispossessed 1.3 times a game.
Di Maria is 0.8 times.

And an Arsenal fans response (DaStuDogg)

Di Maria: 4 goals and 17 assists - a direct contribution to 21 league goals.
Sanchez - 19 goals and 10 assists - a direct contribution to 29 league goals (8 more than Di Maria).

Aerial duels won:
Di Maria: 0
Sanchez: 24

Tackles per game:
Di Maria: 1.3
Sanchez: 1.7

Fouled per game:
Di Maria: 0.9
Sanchez: 1.6

But obviously last season was last season. I want to know what everyone thinks will happen going forward with these two and who has settled in to their respective teams better?

Fantasy football minutes to points so far:

Di Maria 405 minutes played and 43 points.

Sanchez 421 minutes played and 25 points.

As fantasy football points are the best indicator of player performance, Di Maria >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sanchez.

Those stats are wrong, Sanchez gets dispossessed 2.3 times a game.

Also turnovers (whatever that means):

Di maria: 0.6 per game
Sanchez: 2.6 per game

Wow I'm a little slow this afternoon

Why are we even mentioning last season though? Shouldn't we just compare how they've been so far in the Premier League? They've probably played a similar amount of games

Sanchez = 2 goals and 1 assist from 6 games.

Di Maria = 3 goals and 3 assists from 5 games.

We all know who has made the better start.

Isle of Manc that stats from last season were just to help give an overview of the players, there hasnt really been enough of this season yet to compare stats properly. I was asking for general opinions on how they have settled and predicitons for the rest of the season

Nobody needs stats to see that Di Maria has outshined Sanchez, just watch the games.

Di Maria is the better player, but using three assists from mis-hit shots to support your argument is not the right way to do it.

Shows he's affecting play. And the one to Mata I maintain was a pass.
