Did we really do the right thing when to satisfy the critical masses we made such a public flogging out of the decision to offload Jamie and Roger. We let the whole world know they were bad news in the dressing room and not fit to remain at the club.
The consequence was to have Jamie on our payroll all last season and into this season until a pay off was agreed. Now we are into deja vu with dear Roger.
It might not have pacified people as much, but wouldn't it have been much better to do what every other club does in circumstances like this and just circulate their names as being available for transfer rather than washing our dirty linen in public?

Isn't it better for someone to predict every game correctly? Isn't that the aim of the competition?
Otherwise you might as well tell people they can only have "x" number of home wins, "y" number of away wins, and "z" number of draws, that no two sequential predictions can be the same, and one has to be 6-0.
If someone chooses to predict 8 draws, and all 8 matches ARE draws, that wouldn't be a farce. That would be astute predicting, wouldn't it?

You do the pools right?
They restrict as well
Its in the name of fairness and balancing the comp.
If someone selected all draws each week they would win the competition, so we would have sixteen of us with all draws, not much of a competition.
Thankfully we know you understand why really, as you are surely not as thick ad you are making out.

The Pools I do invites me to predict "x" number of draws from the games published each week, with NO restrictions. I have the freedom of choice. I keep the same numbers, but that's my choice from the outset.
In the competition, if someone elected to predict that every game was going to finish as a draw, and there weren't any draws that week, I don't see how they'd automatically win the competition. I'd be interested to know how they would in such a scenario, and look forward to your reply.

Done with the replies, if you can't grasp it, oh well, just another sign of your attempts to ridicule posters on a daily basis.
Though I do applaud the fact you no longer hide your sum status

Butey. I have tried to and now cinci has re-iterated why there was a need to set certain rules.
You bragged about winning the pools the other day. Did you put down draws for every match? No of course not. You're restricted to how many you can put on the coupon.
The posters who are the competition know the rules and don't complain, so I don't know why you and others are too worried about it, especially as you're not in the darn thing.
So yet again, you've ruined another thread by digressing away from the OP's article.
I think posters know why you've done it. It's because you enjoy stirring up matters and are a complete WUM.

Apologies DJ for our man North of the border.

Why apologise for Bute? As far as I can see there are three people arguing, not one

I believe that getting 12 predictions correct is better than getting 8 predictions correct. That's not me being contentious, simply stating an opinion.
The Pools allows me to choose what teams I want to place my X against.
If I was to go into Ladbrokes to place a bet predicting that a match was going to end 2-2, I'd be miffed if they took the bet, but only on the condition that I changed it to a home win, 3-1, and then the result actually turned out to be 2-2. Okay - I might only have lost a tenner, but the injustice would be there.

I thought Roger Johnson and O'Hara let the whole world know about themselves, the captain by turning up for work drunk once (was that when Mick was manager?) and 'Premier League player' (Mick's words) O'Hara's off-field antics and 'playing away'. I could be wrong.
