I can't read the article as I don't have cookies enabled but I get the gist.

I was talking to a mate of mine in the UK and he thought that, maybe, the England pack could be stronger than the Aussie pack and we might stand a fighting chance. IF Sam was still around.

the irony then is that he left league for the bigger challenge of union when he is in a position to influence league!

Its disappointing that Sam has left Rugby League for the moment at least
