Roy Keane on Mourinho

Two weeks ago the Chelsea boss decided he had seen enough before the full-time whistle had sounded and offered his hand to his Villa counterpart Paul Lambert, who refused to shake hands, instead pointing to his watch to indicate it was not yet time for such formalities. Keane, who sat next to Lambert and merely ignored Mourinho when he was tapped on the shoulder, was also left seething by the incident, and suggested the Portuguese would have been punched if he had acted the same way during a park game.

“I don’t mind all that but the game is still going on. It’s disgraceful, I’ve seen him doing it to other managers, it’s a disgrace," Keane said.
“The game is still going on. You wouldn’t do that on a Sunday morning, you would get knocked out."

Asked if he saw Mourinho's gesture as disrespectful, Keane said: “What do you think? That’s a stupid question. Yeah." Keane, added: “I’m not sure I’d have liked playing for Mourinho. He plays too many mind games with the media. “I understand the need for games. But there comes a point when you think, ‘Don’t play mind games today’. And poking the Barcelona coach in the eye - I wouldn’t have done that.

“If I was still a player today, I’d like to think I could work with Pep Guardiola. I like his style, and his presence, and the way he conducts himself."

Keane on SAF

Roy Keane says ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was wrong to criticise his former players in his autobiography and would not be afraid "to have a go at him" if the two met.

Ferguson discussed differences with ex-United players Keane and David Beckham in the book published last year.

Keane left Old Trafford in November 2005, after falling out with Ferguson.

"I felt it was a bit harsh to criticise me or other players," Keane, 43, told Football Focus.

The total hypocrassy of this clown knows no bounds.

Dont say that on the Chelsea board though. You'll get called bitter, jealous and all sorts of names. To them Mourinho is just a very good WUM lol. Or atleast thats what they tell themselves when they bury their heads in the sand regarding his cringey antics.

I enjoy them

United fans will make excuses for Keane whereas Chelsea fans will make excuses for Mourinho. Both are pretty indefensible though.

Not sure I agree. Keane was my favourite player but I think he is in the wrong. I have said previously that I don't have an issue with managers leaving games early if they want to. If they do then why not shake hands first? Would it be better if they left early without shaking hands? What's it to Keane when Jose decides to leave the ground? Why does he care? He just seems like on overly precious whingebag, frankly.

thats fair enough red you are entitled to your opinion re the rights and wrongs of the incident

but to label those that dont agree with you as overly precious whingebags isnt right either

It is pretty disrespectful to be fair. Not sure why he keeps doing it (Mourinho). It's not the done thing erally but as someone said earlier it would be very funny indeed if someone did it to Jose.

this

at a loss as to why some people dont recognise this. Joses antics dont bother me but this behaviour is just bad manners, unnecessary and theres no excuse for it.
