With Wengers stock falling every season despite his past achievements I decided to check the stats in the article below about current managers, their win ratio's and thought it would be interesting to hear what everybodys top 5 would be.
http://www.managerstats.co.uk/premier-league/
Ratings must be based on which manager can do the best job or get the most out of a similar set of players and it must be long term not a harry houdini wreck job.
1. Jose Mourinho
2. Arsene Wenger
3. Louis van Gaal
4. Manuel Pellegrini
5. Roberto Martinez
6. Brendan Rodgers
7. Steve Bruce
8. Mauricio Pochettino
9. Harry Redknapp
10.Sam Allardayce
11.Ronald Koeman
12.Alan Pardew
13.Neil Warnock
14.Mark Hughs
15.Gary Monk
16.Gus Poyet
17.Paul lambert
18.Alan Irvine
19.Sean Dyche
20.Nigel Pearson
The bottom 10 was a coin toss but after looking at that list its easy to see why Wenger is still Arsenal manager as there are no names that stand out.

Hard to see why Pearson is bottom below Dyche (who he beat to the Champiosnhip title) and Irvine (who has managed 9 games in his career)

I quite like the Ginger Mourinho

Longer he goes without a win, the harder it will get for him. Although I would agree, seems like a nice enough bloke. Voice annoys me though, sounds like he needs to just cough and it will be ok again.

van Gaals glory years as a manager were in the 90s
are you really sure he's still a top3 manager?

I thought he managed the dutch team well in brazil. His only problem in the modern game is his rigidness which does not help when managing millionaires who have little patience for philosophies.
united looked decent in pre season.I think what has caught our van gaal a bit is the fact that unlike the Spanish and german legaue, in english football you need a clear game plan against the so called small or mid table teams.
arsenal out pass them and believe it or not it works against the small teams.Chelsea hit them on the break or via setpieces. City do a bit of both, posession with individual brilliance and an intricate passing system between their front players.Liverpool destroyed them with a shock and awe approach, something the invincibles used to do a lot.
At the moment united try to go hammer and tongs against these sides and because of their injuries can be found wanting.
need to slow down the game a bit and pick their moments

I'm not implying he's a bad manager or past it or anything like that at all.
Just the reason he's a big name is primarily from success a very long time ago.

How is Harry at no. 9
he is an awful manager and if they lose tonight I have heard he will be sacked.

God knows how Wenger would perform in any other environment other than Arsenal.

You mean that back in Spain or Germany he just needed to circle a few fixtures on the calendar and let the rest look after themselves?
Fyg, Barça lost 10 matches in their first title-winning season under him, 7 in the second - that's more defeats than in any of Wenger's title-winning seasons. His overall win % for Barça in Spain is lower than Wenger's entire Arsenal career average, which includes all the years Arsenal haven't been up to that much.

There are some truly awful managers now managing in the top flight. Most are awful, and the rest are only good because they have oddles of money to spend. The worst collection of managers in my opinion in top flight history.

This is due to knee jerk reactions to a few bad results in modern football. Fergie would have been sacked in his first year if he took on united in this era and had the start he had
